Professional wrestling career

Training

Born in Frederick, Maryland, a 1989 graduate from Frederick High School, Fantasia had always been active in sports throughout school and excelled in power lifting and volleyball. Fantasia started her professional wrestling training in 1992 after attending a NWA Crocket Promotions at the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland. She found little interest during the show until watching a women's wrestling match between Linda Dallas and Misty Blue Simmes.[1] After meeting with professional wrestler Dusty Rhodes at the show she found herself ready to start her career as a professional wrestler.[2]

With the help of her coach, Fantasia started her pro wrestling training in nearby Hagerstown, Maryland at the Superior Pro Wrestling Training Center. After three weeks of training Fantasia continued her training with Bob Starr at the Monster Factory in Baltimore and finalized training at Larry Sharpe's school in New Jersey under Nasty Angel and Spike.[1][2] Fantasia made her live debut against Rusty "The Fox" Thomas in Boonsboro, Maryland for the National Wrestling League defeating Thomas with a school boy roll up. Fantasia continued her professional education attending school for business management and public relations.

Career

Fantasia started traveling North America to wrestle on the independents of pro wrestling in New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. By 1994 Fantasia had become well known as the 5'9" blonde powerhouse of ladies wrestling and competing on the East coast. Fantasia's first custom DVD work came shortly thereafter with Professional Girl Wrestling Association in North Carolina where she completed infomercials to promote the PGWA and herself and in several pro wrestling DVD customs that sell world wide. Fantasia went on to compete in live shows throughout the North Eastern region earning lady championship titles with the National Wrestling League, Pro Wrestling Entertainment, Thundergirls, and World of Women Wrestlers. Fantasia has competed against numerous female wrestlers, including Lexie Fyfe, Little Jeanne, Lady Victoria, Persephone, Leilani Kai, Chyna, Lita, Allison Danger, Rain, and Amber O'Neal.[1] Her feud with Lexie Fyfe lasted over a year. Fantasia has also competed in England, as well as in custom DVDs produced by Slammin Ladies,[2] Lady Victoria's WOWW,[3] SleeperKidWorld,[4] Thundergirls,[5] and Magnificent Ladies Wrestling.[6]
